About Me:
I'm the artist behind Couleur Aube. For the past two years, I had the pleasure of calling Hong Kong my vibrant and unforgettable home. Inspired by the bustling streets and breathtaking natural scenery that surrounded me, I discovered my deep passion for linoprinting during my time there. My artwork is a reflection of the connection I feel to both the urban energy of Hong Kong and the beauty of nature.

My Inspiration:
The inspiration behind my prints comes from the natural world and the cities I call home. With meticulous attention to detail, I incorporate elements of nature such as foliage, trees, and other organic forms into each print. I aim to capture the essence of the outdoors in a way that evokes poetry and timelessness. In my Hong Kong Series, I celebrate the unique spirit and character of the city. Through bold and dynamic line work, I aim to convey the energy and vibrancy of Hong Kong, while also showcasing its lush foliage and majestic mountains.

Favourite Thing to Do or See in Hong Kong:
One of my favourite things to do in Hong Kong is to hike to Lantau Peak and camp there, witnessing the sunrise. It's a peaceful and awe-inspiring moment, as the city slowly awakens. Everything is quiet, and you feel like you're at the edge of the world. This experience perfectly encapsulates the complexity and wonder of the city, where wildlife and bustling city life coexist harmoniously.

Favorite Places in Hong Kong for Inspiration:
There are two special places in Hong Kong that hold a lot of meaning for me.

- The first is Kennedy Town, it's a neighbourhood filled with bustling streets, vibrant food markets, and beautiful banyan trees. Just behind Kennedy Town is High West, offering a refreshing morning hike or a serene night to immerse yourself in nature. Nearby, the waterfront with it's fishermen and skatepark, facing the infinite sea, provides a captivating backdrop for contemplation.

- The second place dear to my heart is Lamma Island, where I used to live. It's a tranquil paradise accessible only by ferry from Hong Kong Island. Waking up there with the sounds of birds and surrounded by nature is a true blessing. Lamma Island's serene beauty and peaceful atmosphere have served as a constant source of inspiration for my artwork.
