“He is still young, he doesn't understand, it's not a big deal". This is what adults often say about children when faced with "loss". However, the experience and emotion of "loss" do not become less important because a child is young.

The truth is that childhood experiences often have a profound and long-lasting impact on children. If children can understand "loss" earlier and learn to deal with the various emotions brought about by "loss", children will be more equipped to face future life challenges.

This book uses immigration as a theme to guide children to think about the various "losses" they have faced and to understand what it feels like to experience loss. We want children to learn that as long as they manage these experiences and the emotions that come with them well, "loss" can also be transformed into positive energy. With this picture book, the authors hope to support parents and children in having a discussion about "loss" and remind everyone that as long as there is love, what is lost is actually always there.
